- PDFThis message about our image or in our image. But we have been talking about Artificial Intelligence. We have been talking about the future of Artificial Intelligence. That it’s not just in computers. It’s not just to make things happen in software programs.
It’s also going to be and is being already embedded into robots, into humanoids, into different things and different devices that have a variety of purposes. We have been studying what the Bible talks about this. Today we’re going to continue to see what it is that the Bible says about this kind of behavior in general.
We have to understand that it’s not about a tool helping us to do something in life. It’s not just like the rest of technology. There are two parts to this technology of Artificial Intelligence.
It’s a part that helps you achieve things that you have not done before. It helps you create certain things and do some things that have not been done before as far as computing power, generation power, and all of that.
But there’s another side of this:
It has to do with trying to replicate the human mind
the reasoning
the thought process
Relying on this technology, as many people want to do as:
a thought partner
as somebody that is going to guide you
That is where the danger lies!
There are some tasks that are okay to do with this technology. Some things that truly just help you to do the tasks that you need to do, the work that you need to do. But what we’re talking about is more of like the end-game and the end-goal of this technology. The end game of robotization and automation in all the facets of life.
Why are the scientists creating these robots?
Why are they creating all of this Artificial Intelligence, all of these integrations in the computer systems? Because the end goal is:
creating utopias
creating peace
creating harmony
creating a wonderful world that some people envision happening
We know that’s not going to happen, because Jesus Christ is going to return before that happens! And it’s impossible to do it by human means and to create this utopia, this thing that is wonderful. Because at the core of all of this is:
human reasoning
human desires to dominate the earth and the population
That’s what it is!
Like I said, we’ve seen it in movies where the evil guy wants to take over the world. Those are the dreams of some groups of people that super-elite in this world. Those are their dreams. This is just the technology advancing towards that. And that’s exactly what they want.
We’re going to see what it says in the Bible about this. Again, we’re talking macro, because there’s a difference between a tool that you use and that it helps you achieve something, and there are other things that should not be outsourced to a ‘thought partner.’
IF you are going to rely on those thoughts
IF you’re going to rely on that technology for certain things
It should not be done because it’s flawed! It’s always going to fail you! That is the thing. That is the key. For example, even in the preaching of the Word of God:
What Spirit of God can enter into a machine?
How can it be inspired?
How can it be trusted with anything?
You may start to trust it in the beginning and it may be accurate in the things that it’s displayed or sharing, especially because
it knows who you are
it knows what you want to hear
it knows the sites that you visit
your bents
your likes
your perspectives
That’s part of what it does. But IF you continue to trust this and continue to trust it for Truth, it could be a deception,an absolute deception!
Jer. 10—Let’s remember that just because it talks about idols of wood and stone, that doesn’t mean that these machines, robots and systems are not idols as well; because they truly are! That’s what they are because that’s what people place their heart, their hopes in! It’s the same thing; It just looks different in 2025.
Jeremiah 10:10: “But the LORD is the true God, He is the living God... [this is the Source of Truth and Jeremiah is declaring who He {God} is] ...and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to stand His fury.”
And that’s what’s going to happen. We know! This is prophesied and this is going to happen.
Verse 11: “Thus you shall say to them, ‘The gods who have not made the heavens and the earth, they shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens.’”
That’s what happens when mankind starts creating these things, these humanoids, robots and things that are like the creatures, like there’s robot-dogs and other creatures that are robotic in nature. That’s what it is; it’s talking about mankind. Let’s remember that God Himself in Psa. 82 talks about ‘gods.’ It’s talking about people because we are ‘gods.’ That’s the potential that we have!
But it’s little ‘g’; we are not like the God Who made the heavens and the earth. He has called us to become like Him through this process of conversion. But we have to be begotten and we have to be developed. And that’s why the gods with little g’s who have not made the heavens and the earth is talking about the people. But the people creating these things, they think that they are God!
Jeremiah says, ...they shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens.... [then he declares]: ...He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His judgment. When He utters His voice, there is a noise of a multitude of waters in the heavens. ‘He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of His treasures’” (vs 11-13).
No man can do that. That’s what he’s saying here. ‘gods’ with little ‘g’—mankind, cannot do this!
Verse 14: “Every man... [here’s what we really are] ...is stupid for lack of knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by the graven image; for his molten image is a lie... [we can say this about these robots and humanoids; they are a lie] ...and there is no breath in them.” That’s what it says!
It’s exactly the same thing, there is no breath in these creatures. It doesn’t matter how much computing power, how much connectedness, and how much processing power they have. “...there is no breath in them.”
God tells us what they are; v 15: “They are vanity, the work of delusion...”
That’s what it is. It’s a delusion to think thatthese robots and these things are going to do all the work for us and we don’t have to do anything, and that solves the humanity’s problems. It’s a lie! That’s what it says. It’s a delusion!
“...in the time of their judgment they shall perish” (v 15).
That’s what it says! That’s what God declares in His Word what these things are overall!.
Hab. 2—we’re going to read something very important here in the Minor Prophets, because we want to understand what God says about these robotics, about Artificial Intelligence in general. And He knows, He knows what man is trying to do. None of this is a surprise to God. He knew, like we read last time, that nothing that they have imagined will be restrained from them! We are reaching that point.
Habakkuk 2:18: “What does an image profit, for its maker has carved it; a molten image...”
Again, we may not be melting the same things that they were melting back there. But we’re still melting things. We’re still melting metals and silicone and all of these things; it’s still a molten image.
“...and a teacher of lies?....” (v18).
That’s what it is, its maker has carved it. A molten image and a teacher of lies! As Fred has mentioned, that if you ask AI, ‘Will you lie to me?’ It says, ‘Yes, it would lie to you’ and it absolutely does! Not only lie, but in its early stages we have seen it with AI, that it hallucinates.
That it puts incoherent things that cannot be. That it cannot be considered a source of Truth, and that it shouldn’t be used in the things of God. Because it cannot explain what is only explained through spiritual understanding, through the power of the Holy Spirit directly to the human beings, which have much superior intelligence than any machine could ever have. Because the machine may have more computing power, more processing power, more memory, but:
it does not have understanding
it does not have the spirit of man
It’s implicit in the information that is given to it, but now we’re going to see that in the end-times, it’s going to be used for even worse things than this!
That’s what it is, “...and a teacher of lies? For does the maker trust in his work—which are but dumb idols?” (v 18).
Is that what we’re doing?
Are we trusting in our work, which are but dumb idols?
Verse 19: “Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ To a dumb stone, ‘Arise!’....”
That’s what we’re doing right now. We’re telling to these metals—to titanium and to tungsten and to all of this—‘Awake! Awake!’ and we talk to it: ‘Awake, Alexa!’ and ‘Awake, robot!
“...‘Awake!’ To a dumb stone, ‘Arise!’ Can it teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, yet, no breath is in its midst” (v 19).
It is overlaid with silicon, and it looks like a human. And yet, no, there’s “...no breath in its midst.” It’s the exact same thing! We are playing the same game with different characters in different years, but it’s the exact same behavior because human nature doesn’t change!
Verse 20: “But the LORD is in His Holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him.”
That’s what we need to do!
we need to look to God
we need to connect with God
We shouldn’t be just looking to connect downward to our own creations and our own things!
It’s not wrong to use certain tools for some things, but when it comes to the things of God, we need to be connecting directly with God, and not relying on this technology because it can deceive us, and it will! We’re going to see to what level this is going to get.
Rom. 1—we’ve read these Scriptures before in all kinds of contexts, but it’s talking about what mankind is going to do. This is what it is, and as we read these things, let’s think about the scientific community at large that are developing these machines and understand what it says here.
Romans 1:18: “Indeed, the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the Truth in unrighteousness.”
What is the truth? The truth is that we have an amazing creation and an amazing potential and an amazing future:
IF we look to our Creator
IF we obey His Laws
IF we connect with Him and have a relationship with Him
That’s what it is! That’s the Truth!
But they suppress it. ‘No, there is no God,’ and that’s what all the colleges and universities teach. They teach atheism! They teach evolution!
They “...suppress the Truth in unrighteousness.”
Why? To gain people to believe their lies and to believe their counterfeits, because that’s what this is.
Verse 19: “Because that which may be known of God is manifest among them, for God has manifested it to them.”
They cannot be these biologists that understand all these things about God and then they’re atheists. They turn out to be atheists and to believe in the theory of evolution. But that’s exactly what’s happening!
Verse 20: “For the invisible things of Him are perceived from the creation of the world, being understood by the things that were made—both His eternal power and Godhead—so that they are without excuse.” That’s what God says!
“...they are without excuse; because when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God...” (vs 20-21).
That’s the problem. They became inward-looking! Let’s look at ourselves. Let’s look at what we can learn:

That’s what happened.
“...neither were thankful; but they became vain in their own reasonings... [that’s what’s happening] ... and their foolish hearts were darkened” (v 21).
That’s what has happened to the scientific community at large, trying to achieve all of the utopia, a society that produces, and that is harmonious, and that everything works, and that all these things are automated, and they’re done for you!
But what would that produce IF we were to get there? It would produce lazy people:
that don’t know how to work
that don’t know how to think
that don’t know how to research
that don’t know how to develop their mind and body to thrive in this world
That’s what would happen! It would be the end of the human race! That’s what it says:
“...they became vain in their own reasonings, and their foolish hearts were darkened. While professing themselves to be the wise ones, they became fools and changed the glory of the incorruptible God...” (vs 21-23).
Who has the glory of the incorruptible God? It’s our bodies! We have! We were made in God’s image! That’s what God the Father and Jesus Christ said: “Let US make man in OUR image.”
Verse 23: “And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of an image of corruptible man...” You see how it goes from:
the perfection
the glory
the hope
the purpose
It goes from that to us, which is we are made in His image! But instead of pointing:
to that purpose
to that glory
to that future
we’re pointing downward, and we’re changing that for the likeness of an image of corruptible men! And
That’s the very first thing that it says, humanoids, robots that look like men. That’s exactly what they’re making!
“...and of birds, and four-footed creatures, and creeping things” (v 23).
That’s exactly what’s happening! We know what happens later. That’s why it says:
Verse 24: “For this cause, God also abandoned them to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts...”
We know what happens. We talked about all of these things. But He abandoned them to all of this reprobate behavior that is very detailed in the next few verses. But then, what does it say in:
Verse 28: “And in exact proportion as they did not consent to have God in their knowledge...”—because that’s what happened!
First is the rejection of God, now is the invention of man. We put God aside and we create our own society with our own tools, our robots, and our interconnected, smart—that’s why they call it smartphones, and all of this.
There’s nothing smart, really, about that. It has computing power, and it has connected things, and it’s quite advanced technologically, but it’s certainly not wise!
Verse 28: And in exact proportion as they did not consent to have God in their knowledge, God abandoned them to a reprobate mind, to practice those things that are immoral; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, guile, evil dispositions; whisperers, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, boasters...” (vs 28-30).
All of these things, we can see that they will be embedded in all this new technology. It will be used for some of these things, for a lot of these things, whether by design, or whether unintentionally, or whether by other people that hack into these devices. But that’s what’s going to happen. It’s already being used.
There’s robotics already that are being used to commit sexual immorality. And I won’t go into the detail, but that’s what’s happening.
“...wickedness, covetousness, malice... [machines that lie] ...full of envy, murder... [going to be used for evil, for] ...strife, for guile... [absolutely, guile means to deceive] ...evil dispositions; whisperers” (v 29).
It’s going to be all kinds of things. There’s been machines, there’s been Artificial Intelligence machines that already commit blackmail on their creators. They were testing IF they would do that, IF they would blackmail the people that programmed them; it has happened!
Verse 30: “Slanderers, God-haters... [then one of the things that God abandoned them to, it says] ... inventors of evil things and practices....” Some of these things are actually evil, or they can turn evil!
Maybe they’re not created that way, but they can turn that way. Because when we put the human intelligence and the human knowledge through the cloud and through the Internet, it is full of evil things. It will do, without a doubt, evil things!
“...disobedient to parents, void of understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection...” (vs 30-31).
How can it be natural affection IF these things are not natural? They’re artificial, by definition, Artificial Intelligence.
“...implacable and unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who commit such things are worthy of death, not only practice these things themselves, but also approve of those who commit them” (vs 31-32).
So, we’re talking about a future that is not in our favor. We really have to be aware more now than ever:
to draw close to God
to be in prayer to God
to be reading and understanding or studying the Word of God, our Bible
to be yielding to God so that He may dwell in us through His Holy Spirit
That’s what He wants to do!
to be following Him
not following our own inventions
not following what a machine tells us to do
That is what we’re getting to!
Psa. 106—Even in the Old Testament, it talks about these things, about some of the things that are being created. This is, this is talking about what happened with ancient Israel, but we see that history repeats itself. Because when they didn’t obey, they didn’t do what God told Israel to do. You can read the entire Psalm, but that’s what it’s talking about, that they provoked God to anger.
Psalm 106:33: “Because they provoked his spirit so that he spoke rashly with his lips. They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them, but mingled themselves among the nations and learned their works. And they served their idols, which were a snare to them. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons” (vs 33-37).
There’s going to be demonic influence infiltrating these Artificial Intelligence machines, as well.
Verse 38: “And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood. And they were defiled with their works... [that’s what we are doing now; defiling ourselves as a society with our works] ...and went a whoring after their own inventions” (vs 38-39).
That is happening right now. People are going a whoring after their own inventions, and they’re trying to change everything that God has done!
There’s a lot more that can be said about this topic, but we’re going to look at a couple of Scriptures to finish this topic In Our Image, because there’s a lot more that can be said, a lot more Scriptures that talk about this.
At least we have gotten an overview of how God looks at this technology, how God looks not only at the technology, but at:
the intentions behind the technology
the intentions of man
the evil of man and where it’s going to lead us
Revelation 13:11: “And I saw another beast rising out of the earth... [this is coming] ... and he had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon; and he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him; and he causes the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed” (vs 11-12). We know what that is!
Verse 13: “And he... [the false prophet] ...performs great wonders, so that he even causes fire to come down to the earth from heaven in the sight of men.”
That’s going to be a great deception! But let’s read about the deception, because these technological advancements are no coincidence with what is here and where it’s going.
Verse 14: “And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by means of the wonders that were given to him to perform in the sight of the beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image for the beast, which had the wound by the sword, yet, was alive. And he was given power to give a satanic spirit to the image of the beast...”(vs 14-15).
And this was recently updated. It used to say ‘life,’ but it’s not life. We’re just talking about ‘breath,’ but it’s not breath. It’s a spirit!
“...a satanic spirit to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast also could speak...” (v 15).
So, we have to be very aware of these technological advancements, and what it is going to come to!
“...and he causes everyone who will not worship the image of the beast to be killed” (v 15).
That’s why we have to be closer to God than ever:
so that we may not be deceived
so that we don’t fall into these traps
There’s already been suicide by young people that have been having relationships with this Artificial Intelligence character that is nothing but the concoction of man and evil influence! That’s what it is! That is what’s happening.
Verse 16: “And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark in their right hands, or in their foreheads so that no one may have the ability to buy and sell unless he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let the one who has understanding...” (vs 16-18).
True understanding and wisdom come only from God!
they do not come from Artificial Intelligence
they do not come from machines
they do not come from human intelligence
they do not come from the accumulation of human wisdom
Because we know, as it says in James, that there is a human wisdom that is seductive and sensual and evil. But the wisdom of God is pure and righteous and that can only come from God!
“...Let the one who has understanding count the number of the beast; for it is a man’s number, and his number is 666” (v 18)—which is the pinnacle of man!
Right now we can see ahead that what man is going to consider the pinnacle of the creation is creating beings after their own kind, just like God did. That’s what Artificial Intelligence’s aim is all about. That’s what it is.
I’m not saying that some of the applications and the things don’t have their place in the world, perhaps for a time. But the deception is going to be so great that it’s going to lead to these events! We’re getting much closer to the end by the developments, even technologically, that the companies are doing.
This all comes together; it’s going to culminate in what is 666, perfection of mankind. Three times six, and we know three is the will of, and this is the will of man: to create societies and all of this supposed utopia apart from God! But that’s not what God wants.
God wants us to connect with Him
God wants us to be truly developing the character of God
God wants us to truly be connected with Him
He is going to give us the mind of Christ
He is going to give us that intelligence
to know
to understand
to have wisdom
to not be deceived by the things that are coming
We were created in God’s image. Let’s pray. Let’s stay close to God:
so that we may not be deceived by these technologies
so that He will give us wisdom as to where that line is
when it’s a tool
when it becomes a liability in our lives
