Fred R. Coulter—November 22, 2025

Today, we’re going to have part two on Law and Commandment-keeping and love. So what we’re going to do, we’re going to focus on four words:

  1. IF

  2. THEN

  3. LAW

which includes the Commandments

  1. LOVE

Those always go together!

Let’s look at the word IF. That’s the smallest, most powerful word in any language.

IF you do what God says, THEN blessings will come. We will see another very, very important thing: That because of the word IF and the word THEN there is no such thing as God’s unconditional love, because we’re going to see it is all very conditional! All of the promises given, as Bruce pointed out, are conditional. {Note message: Does God Exist?}

Deuteronomy 11:1: “Therefore, you shall love the LORD your God, and keep His charge and His statutes and His judgments and His Commandments always.”

Now, the statutes and judgments are based upon the Laws of God and His Commandments, as well.

Verse 2—this is just before they were ready to go into the ‘promised land.’

Verse 2: “And consider this day that I do not speak with your children who have not known and who have not seen the chastisement of the LORD your God, His greatness, His mighty hand, and His outstretched arm, and His miracles, and His acts which He did in the midst of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt and to all his land” (vs 2-3).

Verse 7: “But your eyes have seen all the great deeds of the LORD, which He did. Therefore, you shall keep all the Commandments, which I command you this day, so that you may be strong and go in and possess the land where you go to possess it” (vs 7-8).

Verse 12: “It is a land which the LORD your God cares for. The eyes of the LORD your God are always upon it from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year. And it will be, IF... [there’s the word we’re going to see how important that is] ...you will hearken diligently...” (vs 12-13)—which means: listen to obey:

  • don’t do it passively

  • don’t do it in just an abstract way

One of the greatest lies of Protestantism and Catholicism is that Christ has done it all for you and you have nothing to do. Well, that isn’t true!

Verse 13: “And it will be, IF you will hearken diligently to My Commandments, which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Isn’t that what we were told there in Deut. 8? We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul and being!

Verse 14: “THEN I will give the rain of your land in its due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.”

Verse 26: “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse.” This is true:

  • for every human’s life individually

  • for families

  • for communities

  • for cities

  • for states

  • for nations

Verse 26: “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: A blessing, IF you obey the Commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day” (vs 26-27).

Think about what Bruce said right toward the end of his message about all the law-breaking that’s going on, about all the rejection of the Commandments of God. Where did all of this start? It started in the pulpits of the churches that call themselves ‘Christian’!

They said you don’t have to keep the Law! They have said a preposterous thing: that the Law is done away! We’ll see in a minute, and we’ve covered this before, you can’t do away with it. It’s like the law of gravity, you have to be in harmony with it or it’s going to break you!

“...a blessing and a curse: A blessing, IF you obey the Commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day; and a curse, IF you will not obey the Commandments of the LORD your God, but will turn aside out of the way, which I command you this day to go after other gods which you have not known” (vs 26-28).

Deut. 12 tells us exactly what happened. You can go to the book of Judges, which is very interesting the way it starts out. It says that the children of Israel obeyed God as long as Joshua and the elders, succeeding Moses, lived. But WHEN Joshua died THEN all of the people started turning to the gods of the other nations that were there before them.

Deut. 12 becomes very important, especially for today, because today we have every:

  • indoctrination

  • false doctrine

  • false religion

  • false belief in Christianity

that there has ever been!

Deuteronomy 12:1: “These are the statutes and judgments, which you shall be careful to do in the land which the LORD God of your fathers gives you to possess it, all the days that you live upon the earth.”

He says that they are to serve God the way that He commanded them, and He also said concerning the other gods of the people: that they were to destroy them!

Verse 4: “You shall not do so to the LORD your God. But you shall seek to the place, which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, even to His dwelling place you shall seek, and there you shall come. And there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offering of your hand, and your vows...” (vs 4-6).

Verse 7: “And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice...”

Verse 28: “Be careful to observe and obey...”

How many times in growing up did your mom and dad tell you be careful, that is watch that you do what we’re telling you in a way that it should be done. It’s the same thing here and it’s true today and we will see that is true with the true Christianity of the Bible!

Verse 28: “Be careful to observe and obey all these words, which I command you, so that it may go well with you...”

The Law is not a curse; the Law is a blessing IF you obey it! The Law automatically brings troubles and curses for breaking it; it’s automatic! Also, the Laws of God affect your personality as you keep them or disobey; either one, it:

  • affects your mind

  • affects your health

  • affects what you think

  • affects what you do

  • affects how you live

That’s why God said do it!

“...so that it may go well with you and with your children after you forever when you do that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God” (v 28).

Now, people are going to say: ‘You’re reading Old Testament.’ ALL the Commandments of God are to be kept in the New Testament, as well.

Verse 30: “Take heed to yourself that you do not become ensnared by following them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not ask about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods that I may also do likewise?’” You shall not do so to the LORD your God...” (vs 30-31).

Stop and think for just a minute:

  • Is God eternal? Yes!

  • Is God love? Yes!

  • Is He Law-giver? Yes!

ALL of those things still exist and function automatically!

That’s why we have all the troubles we have; because people have rejected it!

He says you’re not to do like they do, but what do we have is one of the one of the leading so called ‘Christian religions’ in the world, which is nothing but paganism!

Psa. 1 is really interesting, because when you look at it, this is the summary of the whole Bible! Here we see:

  1. IF

  2. THEN

  3. LAW

Blessing and we also see:

  • Law-breaking

  • the cursing that takes place

right in this very first Psalm!

You can go to the first chapter of the book of Proverbs and you can find out the very same thing and we will see when we get to the New Testament and true Christianity it is also the very same thing:

Psalm 1:1: “Blessed...” This is what everyone wants! They all want blessings, but they all want to get it their way! But you don’t get it your way, it comes from God so it must be His way!

Psalm 1:1: “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked...”

Who are the wicked? The wicked are the ones who transgress the Laws of God!

“...nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD...” (vs 1-2).

Even Charlie Kirk said—when he was interviewed about the Sabbath Day, and why he kept the Sabbath Day—‘when sundown Friday comes everything stops! I keep the Sabbath and the Sabbath helps me keep the other of the Ten Commandments.’ Think about that for a minute!

“...and in His Law does he meditate day and night” (v 2). That is also a New Testament doctrine, which we will see in a little bit!

Verse 3: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not wither, and all that he does shall prosper.

How do you prosper? By loving God and keeping His Commandments! We will see that we have seen it in the New Testament we’ll review that again.

Verse 4: “The wicked are not so, but they are like chaff, which the wind drives away.”

  • they have no stability

  • they have no roots

  • they have nothing that they’re doing is right

They will do whatever is expedient, and they will sin terribly!

Verse 5: “Therefore, the wicked...” Anyone who is:

  • breaking the Ten Commandments

  • living contrary to the Laws of God

  • preaching a false Jesus

  • preaching a false grace

Verse 5: “Therefore, the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish” (vs 5-6).

That’s quite a statement; it’s quite a thing! We will examine another Psalm concerning the Laws of God, because there are a lot of people who think that they can come along and interpret the Laws of God in a way that brings disobedience! We will see that brings the curse—Old Testament New Testament!

We know from Deut. 6 that God tells us we are to love the Lord God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul, and with all of our strength.

  • What is that going to do for us? There will be blessings!

  • What else does it do? He also said, write them on the post of entrance of your house!

We will see in just a minute, that in doing them diligently and thinking on them, plus with the addition of the Holy Spirit where the Laws of God are to be!

Psalm 19—this is interesting because it tells us in so many words that the Laws of God originated with God in heaven! As Jesus said:

Don’t think that I’ve come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.

And nothing will be changed, nothing will be abolished, because it’s all based on heaven and earth.

Psalm 19:1: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims His handiwork.”

One of the best places to start to understand God and to find out about God is to find out about the universe! Just like God told Abraham:

Come out here and look at the stars and count them if you’re able to number them.

So that you know that those things came because God created them! That they are there and upheld by the Word of His Power.

Verse 7: “The Law of the LORD is perfect...”

Now that’s quite a statement! If you had something perfect in the way of a physical possession, whatever it may be, very expensive or whatever, perfect: Would you throw it away? No!

“The Law of the LORD is perfect... [What does it do?] ...restoring the soul...” (v 7).

That is being a blessing to your whole being, because:

  • IF you are loving God with all your heart, mind, soul and being

  • IF you’re keeping His Commandments

that affects everything

  • that you think

  • that you do

  • the way that you act and live

“...the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of the LORD are pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether” (vs 7-9). Notice how great this is:

Verse 10: “More to be desired than gold, yea, much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.”

Moreover, here is what the Law does, and the Commandments do. We will see with the addition of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament, it does it in a very profound way.

Verse 11: “Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.”

Why is that? Because man by his own self, woman by her own self, doesn’t really know what is right and wrong automatically!

Verse 12: Who can understand his errors? Oh, cleanse me from my secret faults”:

  • that’s what God’s Spirit does

  • that’s what the Law of God does

All of those secret little sins that you have in your life can be all cleansed out through the Spirit of God and through the Law of God, but it’s got to be internalized, as we’ll see in just a minute.

Verse 12: “Who can understand his errors? Oh, cleanse me from my secret faults; and keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; do not let them rule over me” (vs 12-13).

Very interesting statement, because when you get down to it, there are two rulerships.

  1. God

  2. Satan and the demons

“...do not let them rule over me; then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer” (vs 13-14).

Now, let’s jump ahead to Heb. 10. This talks about the Laws and Commandments of God again in relationship to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The only way that we can keep the Laws of God the way that He wants is by:

  • choosing them

  • having His Spirit

  • following them

All of that is based upon the sacrifice of Jesus Christ!

Hebrews 10:14: “For by one offering He has obtained eternal perfection...”

  • Law of God is perfect

  • God Himself is perfect

  • His Word is true and perfect

We’ll see that in just a little bit.

“...for those who are sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after He had previously said, ‘“This is the covenant that I will establish with them after those days,” says the Lord, “I will give My Laws into their hearts, and I will inscribe them in their minds”’” (vs 14-16).

Now, that’s quite a thing! Being written in our hearts and our minds is exactly what it says in the Old Testament. That’s exactly what it says in the New Testament, as well.

Let’s just review John 14, and we will see what Jesus said concerning law-keeping. All right. John 14, and the Holy Spirit. We covered this in part 1, but we need to review it so that we have it clear in our minds. This shows that the Law of God is conditional because of the word IF.

John 14:14: “IF you ask anything in My name, I will do it.... [it has to be according to the will of God, but there is the word] ...IF you love Me...” (vs 14-15).

How are we to love God? With all our heart, mind, and soul, and being.

  • there’s no doing away with the Law

  • there’s no doing away with the Commandments of God

Jesus did NOT do it for you! You and I, and everyone else, have to keep the Laws and Commandments of God ourselves. Notice what He says:

Verse 15: “IF you love Me, keep the Commandments—namely, My Commandments.”

A good Bible study would be for you to do is go through the four Gospels and find out all the commands that Jesus said.

Luke 6:46: “And why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord’...”

Now, that’s very interesting and that’s what all of the Protestants do.

“...But you do not practice what I say...” (v 46)—or what He inspired to be written!

Now, what are we reading here in John 14? IF! So there it is, conditional! It’s not unconditional. God’s love is everlasting, but not unconditional.

So Jesus said, , we just read it:

John 14:15: “IF you love Me, keep the Commandments—namely, My Commandments.”

Luke 6:46: “And why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but you do not practice what I say?”

When you understand that Jesus was the One:

  • Who was the Lord God of the Old Testament Who gave the Ten Commandments to Israel

  • Who carried them over into the New Testament so they can be kept in the Spirit with the Spirit of God

We’ll see how closely that that is connected to the Spirit of God.

Verse 47: “Everyone who comes to Me...”

That’s a very interesting statement, and Franklin Graham ought to learn this basic lesson, because he’s totally wrong, and so are all of the Protestant ministers who say, ‘Pray this little prayer and ask Jesus to come into your life.’ NO!

  • you come to God

  • you repent to God

  • you are the one who is on the IF

IF you do the ‘IF,’ THEN God will respond to you!

Verse 47: “Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and practices them, I will show you what he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the Rock...” (vs 47-48).

Verse 49: “But the one who has heard My words and has not practiced them...”

What does practice mean? Habitually do! Obey and do!

  • IF

  • THEN

  • OBEY

  • DO

Now let’s come back to John 14 and review these verses again, because these are very powerful. And remember that Jesus said: ‘The words that I speak to you, they are Spirit and they are Life.’

Everyone wants to live forever, but you can’t live forever without receiving the Holy Spirit of God. You can’t receive the Holy Spirit of God UNLESS:

  • you come to God, first, like Jesus said

  • you repent of your sins, that are yours

  • you come to God, He’s not coming to you

  • you answer His call

  • you obey Him

  • IF you want conversion

  • IF you want eternal life

  • THEN you must be baptized by full immersion in water, because that is a covenant baptism.

A covenant means YOU are proclaiming your whole existence belongs to God! That’s actually what it means when you’re baptized.

John 14:15: “IF you love Me, keep the Commandments—namely, My Commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that it may be with you throughout the age: Even the Spirit of the Truth...” (vs 15-17).

That’s the most profound thing, that you can receive because that will help you:

  • keep the Laws of God

  • keep the Commandments of God

  • to love God

  • to follow Truth

IF you get into any religions of this world, even though they profess to be Christian:

  • they don’t do what Jesus said

  • they don’t practice it

they’re not of Him!

Verse 17: “Even the Spirit of the Truth, which the world cannot receive because it perceives it not, nor knows it, but you know it because it dwells with you, and shall be within you.

That’s the whole object of receiving the Holy Spirit, that it is within you with the spirit of man; the Spirit of God unites with it, and that is what is called, as we saw in 1-Peter 1, being begotten again! He will send the Spirit of Truth!

  • you yield to God

  • you yield to Christ

and that will lead you

  • to keeping the Commandments of God the way that He wants

  • to do the things that God wants you to do

Keep in mind what we read in the Old Testament, it applies in the New Testament spiritually.

Verse 21: “The one who [# 1]has My Commandments... [the Ten Commandments; you practice them as Jesus said] ...and [# 2]is keeping them... [So, there are two factors involved in it!] ...that is the one who loves Me, and the one who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him.” How does God do that?

  • by working with your mind

  • by working with your thoughts

  • by dealing in your life

  • by you living the Commandments of God

  • by you coming to God His way

Verse 22: “Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, ‘Lord, what has happened that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?’”

How are you going to do it? Here’s how he does it:

Verse 23: “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘IF anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word...”

The Word is the whole message of Christ. That’s why you need to study:

  • the Gospels

  • all of the apostles’ epistles

  • the whole Bible

so that you can keep the words!

“...‘IF anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him...” (v 23).

Now, that’s the key important thing! That’s why it’s going to be written in your heart and in your mind, (Heb. 10)

“...and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him” (v 23).

Now, abode means dwelling places to have the Holy Spirit of God as a begettal from God the father, and there are two parts to it:

  1. the begettal for you to become a begotten son of God to be born at the resurrection when Jesus Christ returns

  2. to develop the mind of Christ:

  • to think as Christ thinks

  • to think with the Laws and Commandments of God

  • to think with the Word of God

  • to understand what is:

  • right/what is wrong

  • what is good/what is evil

Now, v 24 is very important, and every Protestant, every Catholic, everyone who claims to be a Christian, you listen up!

  • IF you don’t love God, you don’t keep His Commandments

  • IF you don’t love Jesus, you don’t practice what He said

  • IF you don’t have the Spirit of God IN you—through repentance, baptism and laying on of hands—as the New Testament shows

That’s the Scriptural way of doing it, Franklin Graham, not your silly little prayer of deception to assuage the conscience of some people who feel badly because they’re living in sin.

They must come to God!

Now, everyone, this applies especially. This is how Christ separates the sheep from the goats, and the wheat from the chaff.

Verse 24: “The one who does not love Me does not keep My words, and the Word that you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s, Who sent Me.” From God the Father:

  • to you

  • to me

  • to everyone who comes to God

  • to lead us

  • to direct us

  • to guide us

  • to have the Holy Spirit of God

But it operates according to the Laws and Commandments of God! It cannot operate any other way!

That’s what we have right here. Let’s come back again to a very important Psalm and put all of this together.

Proverbs 30:5: “Every Word of God is pure...”

We’re going to see in Psa. 119 that the Laws of God are true, and that they work all the time. I’m going to give you an assignment to do. You go through the entire Psa. 119—it’s the longest Psalm in the book of Psalms 176 verses.

We’re going to look at some key verses here tied in with the Spirit of God. Remember what Jesus said:

The one who has My Commandments and is keeping them, that is the one who loves Me.

  • we’re to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and being

  • we’re to be completely dedicated with the Spirit of God of developing the mind of Christ and having these Laws written in our heart and in our mind

Just like God wants; just like He said there in Heb. 10; to write them in our heart and inscribe them in our mind! That’s the way we are to learn to act to think to live and everything.

Psa. 119—you will be surprised as you read this whole Psalm, study this whole Psalm!

  • it talks about the Laws

  • it talks about the Commandments

  • it talks about the Precepts

  • it talks about the Judgments

This ties right in exactly with Psa. 1 & 19, and what we just read in Luke 6 concerning practicing the things that Jesus commanded.

Psalm 119:1: “Blessed are the undefiled...” That means:

  • you’re not walking in the ways of the world

  • you’re not walking in the religions of the world

“...in the Way... (v 1):

  • the way of the Lord

  • the way of Truth

  • the way of love

“...who walk in the Law of the LORD” (v 1).

Not stand up there and say the Law is done away! Anyone who says that is borderline insane!

Verse 2: “Blessed are they who keep His testimonies...”

Quite a thing! This whole book of Psa. 119 is almost like a separate book in itself!

Verse 2: “Blessed are they who keep His testimonies and who seek Him with the whole heart.”

  • to seek God

  • to seek His Spirit

  • to seek His Way

  • to seek His love

  • to seek His understanding

  • to guide our lives

  • to forgive our sins

  • to guide us in what we need to do

  • to seek Him with the whole heart

Verse 3: “They also do no iniquity...”

Very interesting isn’t it? IF you’re doing the first two verses, you’re not living in sin.

“...they walk in His ways.... [that’s a way of life] ...You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes!” (vs 3-5).

Verse 6: “THEN I shall not be ashamed WHEN I have respect unto ALL Your Commandments”—think of that!

Verse 7: “I will praise You with uprightness of heart...”

Not a double-minded heart. What does it say about the heart of the unconverted person? ‘The heart is deceitful above things and desperately wicked who can know it.’

I’ll tell you one thing all the Internet and all of AI are proving—absolutely for sure, without a shadow of doubt—that the human heart man and woman young and old is evil deceitful and desperately wicked! It’s right out there on the Internet for everybody to see. That’s why AI is going to destroy civilization!

Sidebar: IF AI replaces all the people who have jobs or a good number of them, what’s going to happen? everybody is going to live in satanic sin that will be so profound, because God made male and female for the family and also to work!

God works! We are to work! All of the things on AI—though you can do some things that look really, really good—consider this before you think what a great savior that AI is going to be: they can only input into it what they desire and what other people have thought, what they have written, what they did in another civilization. You look at all the civilizations of the whole world down through history, and they all failed!

So, when you concentrate all of that knowledge into AI you are bound to create the greatest failure ever in the history of the world! A lot of people won’t believe it and some will say well Fred Coulter is nuts! Wait, you will see!

Verse 9: “With what shall a young man cleanse his way?.... [anyone young or old By taking heed according to Your Word”—the Word of God!

What is Jesus called? He’s called, ‘in the beginning was the Word’ Jesus says that ‘the words that I speak, they are Truth and Life!

Verse 10: “With all my heart I have sought You...”

  • that’s what we need to do every day in prayer

  • that’s why we’re here

  • that’s why God made us

“...O let me not wander from Your Commandments” (v 10).

Now the whole book of Psalm 119, which is actually a small book within the whole book of Psalms is the way that when you’re converted:

  • you need to change how you think

  • you need to change how you talk

  • you need to change what you do

Verse 10: “With all my heart I have sought You; O let me not wander from Your Commandments. Your Word I have laid up in my heart... [written in the heart and inscribed in the mind] ...so that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O LORD; teach me Your statutes” (vs 10-12)—that’s what we read

In Psa. 19! It will teach us, it will help us and our minds work all the time.

WHEN you have the Laws and Commandments of God written in your heart and in your mind, and you’re directing toward what God wants:

  • THEN you’re going to be serving God

  • THEN you’re going to be blessed by God

  • THEN you’re going to overcome your sins

  • THEN you’re going to be blessed by God spiritually

Verse 13: “With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies as much as in all riches. I will meditate upon Your precepts and have respect to Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your Word” (vs 13-16).

Think about the intense thinking and spirituality in this whole 119th Psalm.

Verse 17: “Deal bountifully with Your servant, that I may live... [of course, God wants you to live forever] ...and keep Your Word. Open my eyes...” (vs 17-18).

We need to have our minds open because living in the world we’re blinded:

  • by Satan the devil

  • by our own sins

  • by our own lust

  • by our own evil thoughts

because we haven’t repented and we’re not seeking the Word of God!

Verse 18: “Open my eyes so that I may behold wondrous things out of Your Law.”

  • understand prophecy

  • understand Truth

  • understand what God wants

an amazing thing indeed!

Verse 22: “Remove cursing and reproach from me...”—he’s confessing his sins!

Here he is, look at what he’s doing: praising all what God has done, and then he knows in his mind cursing and swearing!

Verse 22: “Remove cursing and reproach from me, for I have kept Your testimonies.”

Verse 29: “Remove from me the way of lying...”

  • cleansing your heart

  • cleansing your mind

  • believing in God

  • confessing your sins

  • repenting of them

that’s all there!

Verse 30: “I have chosen the way of Truth...”

That’s how you get rid of lying! I remember when I found out there was no Santa Claus I confronted my mother and said, ‘You lied to me.’ She told me, ‘That’s a white lie.’ It wasn’t a white lie!

Verse 30: “I have chosen the way of Truth; I have laid Your judgments before me.”

That’s how you have it all written in your heart and in your mind.

Verse 31: “I cleave to Your testimonies; O LORD, do not put me to shame. I will run...” (vs 31-32

Think about this how excited are you about the Commandments of God, how good they are and how right they are, just think:

  • IF any nation will adopt as the basic thing for the laws of their land

  • IF they kept just the Ten Commandments in the letter of the Law

God would bless all of them! Think about that!

Look at what it is in America today by throwing away the law! Look at all of the empty headed dizzy-headed women running for office and governors and things like this and they don’t know right from wrong good from evil! They just want feminine power over whatever they can do!

Verse 32: “I will run the way of Your Commandments for You shall enlarge my heart. Teach me...” (vs 32-33).

  • this is what God wants for us

  • that’s why we have the whole Bible

  • this is why we did The Holy Bible In Its Original Order

because

  • the Word of God is true

  • the Word of God is from God the Father and Jesus Christ

It’s for us to have the Spirit of God, the love of God and live God’s way!

Verse 33: “Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep Your Law and observe it with all my heart” (vs 33-34).

  • Is that how you approach God?

  • Is that what you do with God?

  • What is it that you do?

  • Do you have religion so you feel better?

  • Do you have religion so you can have friends?

  • Do you have a religion so you can be told that you are a nice person?

  • How are you coming to God?

Verse 34: “Give me understanding, that I may keep Your Law and observe it with all my heart. Make me to walk in the path of Your Commandments...” (vs 34-35). How does God make you do that?

  • by you understanding His Word

  • by what we read in John 14

  • by what we read there in Heb. 10

  • by the Laws and Commandments written in your heart and written in your mind

  • that’s what you do

  • that’s how you think

because that comes from God and that’s how God thinks!

  • plus creation

  • plus blessings

  • plus deep and profound love of us for God and God for us

Not some cheap little thing that the Protestants and Catholics profess.

Verse 35: “Make me to walk in the path of Your Commandments, for I delight in them. Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away my eyes from seeing vanity; give me Life in Your way” (vs 35-37).

Those last two verses are so important right there; that’s conversion! All the way through:

  • conversion

  • loving God

  • doing His way

  • keeping His Commandments

  • keeping His Laws

  • keeping His statutes

which are all the Holy Days, by the way!

Verse 38: “Fulfill Your Word to Your servant, so that You may be feared. Turn away my reproach, which I fear, for Your judgments are good” (vs 38-39).

God will spare you from a lot of things, God’s angels will be there to protect you!

Verse 40: “Behold, I have longed after Your precepts; give me Life in Your righteousness.”

Think about this the whole 119th Psalm! is the path with God’s Spirit:

  • to love

  • to truth

  • to conversion

  • to everything we need

All of this is for what in preparation for eternal life; that’s what it’s all about. But the Protestants and Catholics

  • hate the Laws of God

  • hate the Truth of God

and

  • the Catholics even claim that they can preach Christ without the Bible!

That is blasphemy! What they are saying is

  • Christ means nothing

  • the Word of God means nothing

Now you know why it’s called MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS. There it is, that’s what’s enveloping the world today!

We need to go through some more of it. Go through and study Psa. 119! It will take you a long time, so just take each eight verse section; there are 22 sections of 8 verses=176 verses. It will cover, as you will see:

  • everything you need to grow in grace and knowledge

  • conversion

  • the mind of Christ

  • the love of God

  • the Truth of God

  • overcoming sin

  • everything that you need

This is quite a foundation right in the middle of the Bible, and this is why:

  • we’re Scripturalist

  • we reject all the traditions and teachings of men

because

  • men can never bring anything that is as righteous as God

  • they can never have the love that only God can have and give us

  • they can never teach us to have love toward God the way that we ought to

because they’re teaching the precepts and traditions of men!

That’s where we are that’s why we need to really get into the Bible:

  • to study the Bible

  • to know the Bible

That’s why we have all the books that we have and don’t forget the book that we just published: The Love of God Surpasses Human Knowledge.

If you don’t have it, you write for it; if you need extra copies we’ll send them to you. That’s what it is and that is a fantastic book! It has a beautiful cover on it; Randy Vild did the cover. It has a CD that goes with it, because this is a transcript book and this is what you need!

If you need the book: Why Were You Born?, and if you’re brand new and you haven’t heard any of this before, get the book Why Were You Born?

  • if you don’t know why you’re here

  • if you don’t know why God created you

What do you know? You know all human knowledge whatever amount that you have, which will disappear when you die! That’s why we need to understand:

  • the Word of God

  • what God is doing

  • how He works in our lives

We’ll pick it up next time in Psalm 119, because there are a lot of New Testament doctrines contained in this one big beautiful 176 verse: Psalm 119!
