Hello, brethren. Welcome to day two of the Feast of Tabernacles. I hope you’re enjoying your feast site and the fellowship that so richly defines the Feast of Tabernacles. You know, it’s quite a blessing to be able to have the opportunity to experience a foretaste of God’s Kingdom. We see that the work of God continues.
We have the Light of the Plan of God because God has given it to us. He’s given it to us through His Word. I’ve entitled this message God’s Millennial Work. Let’s explore, if you will, the expectation that God has for us.
Truly, he has left markers for us in terms of what his expectation will be. We are now having the opportunity to experience it again as a foretaste.
In Gen. 1 is where we will begin our study, God tells us very clearly here that it is He who created the heavens and the earth!
Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
We know that He made them for a purpose, and that purpose centers around us, at this time as firstfruits of God. Paul brings out some very detailed information about what God was able to share with him. God called Him and revealed some very important things to Him.
Romans 1:1 “Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, set apart to preach the Gospel of God.”
God gave Paul this wonderful news that he had the opportunity to share with the early Church.
Verse 2: “Which He had promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures concerning His Son; Who came from the seed of David according to the flesh, Who was declared the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead––Jesus Christ our Lord; through Whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all the nations, in behalf of His name” (vs 2-5).
Today God’s Church has been charged with carrying the Gospel to the world as a witness, continuing the work of God.
Verse 6: “In whom you also are called of Jesus Christ.”
Yes, we are here at the Feast participating in a foretaste of what God has set before us. God has revealed it and laid it out even before the ages of time in terms of what He would have us to accomplish.
Titus 1:1: “Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect...” That’s us, brethren:
those whom God has called
those whom God has given insight, knowledge and understanding to
We as baptized members of His Family, the firstfruits, and the blessing overflows even into our house where our children may not be baptized. They, too, come to the Feast with us and enjoy a foretaste of what that will be like in the Kingdom of God.
Verse 2: “In the hope of eternal life...”
Yes, that’s our entire journey that we are seeking the Kingdom. Today at the Feast, we are having a foretaste of what that Kingdom will be like. We’ll spend some time in the Scriptures today, and we will carve out as much information as we can so that we can get a vision.
We’ll have a vision, a kind of a mind’s eye view in the Word of God as to :
what that time will look like
how that time will be spent
what will be our duties
Sure, we will get quite a bit more instructions on the Sea of Glass. But today, let’s just take the Word of God and let’s explore. Jesus Himself has given us this Truth.
Verse 2: “In the hope of eternal life, which God Who cannot lie promised before the ages of time, but revealed in its own set time in the proclamation of His Word... [the Gospel that He brought] ...with which I was entrusted according to the Commandment of God our Savior” (vs 2-3).
God has indeed revealed Truth to us. Paul was writing this to Titus:
Verse 4: “To Titus, a true son according to our common faith... [we all are striving for the same thing, and that is a life eternal with God in His Kingdom] ...Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.”
It is a comfort to know that God has revealed these things to us. He did let us know what it was that He expected of us as firstfruits.
Jesus Himself gave us this Truth. His prayer to the Father on the night when He was about to fulfill the act of reconciliation for the world. It included a request to the Father for us, that we—each and every one of us—be sanctified, that is made Holy, usable to Him and His Truth.
John 17:1: “Jesus spoke these words, and lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, ‘Father, the hour has come.... [for Him to fulfill that which He and the Father had discussed from the foundation of the world] ...glorify Your own Son, so that Your Son may also glorify You’”
We see this throughout Christ’s life, that He wanted His work and His deeds to be glorious to the Father, a representation of what He was sent here to do, a representation of the Father in the house of God in heaven above.
Verse 2: “Since You have given Him authority over all flesh, in order that He may give eternal life to all whom You have given Him. For this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom You did send” (vs 2-3).
That is establishing the whole purpose for Christ being here. We recognize that He was sent to save mankind, that He and the Father had defined this plan together.
Verse 4: “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work that You gave Me to do. And now, Father, glorify Me with Your own self, with the glory that I had with You before the world existed” (vs 4-5).
We are striving to become a part of that Family, to experience that glory.
Verse 6: “I have manifested your name... [made known the name of God the Father] ...to men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You have given them to Me, and they have kept Your Word. Now, they have known that all things that You have given Me are from You. For I have given them the words that You gave to Me; and they have received them and truly have known that I came from You; and they have believed that You did send Me. I am praying for them; I am not praying for the world, but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. All Mine are Yours, and all Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to You...” (vs 6-11). He speaks very personally to the Father:
“...Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You have given Me, so that they may be one, even as We are one. When I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. I protected those whom You have given Me, and not one of them has perished except the son of perdition, in order that the Scriptures might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to You; and these things I am speaking while yet in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in them. I have given them Your words...” (vs 11-14).
These words are very inspired, very beneficial to us. They were given specifically:
to instruct
to guide
to help
“...and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world” (v 14).
This world belongs to Satan, the devil, and Jesus Christ knew that They needed to stay squarely focused on Him and the Father.
Verse 15: “I do not pray that You would take them out of the world, but that You would keep them from the evil one.... [Satan, the devil, and His demons. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.... [He, again, requests that the Father set us apart] ...Sanctify them in Your Truth; Your Word is the Truth” (vs 15-17). Yes it is, brethren, very much so!
Verse 20: I do not pray for these only, but also for those who shall believe in Me through their word.”
You and I––each one of us––came into the faith of God through the Word of God being preached by faithful ministers at some point, somewhere in our lives. These words, this prayer has been fulfilled many, many times over.
Verse 21: “That they all may be one...”
Just as we’re enjoying this wonderful festive environment together as families around the world.
“...even as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You... [They dwell together, and we dwell with Them] ...that they also may be one in Us, in order that the world may believe that You did send Me” (v 21).
This message will be carried forward, into the Millennial reign of Christ!
that intimacy that God expects
this desire to dwell in the midst of His people
to have a relationship with His created beings
is a message of the Millennium!
2-Cor. 5––Paul continues to instruct and give insight into the words that God gave him; that he was to share with us.
2-Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone be in Christ...”
IF God has called you, and you have accepted the call, you are on a journey with the Father and Jesus Christ to the Kingdom of God!
faithful to Him in your walk
Sabbath-keeping
the Feasts and Holy Days that God has given us to define the way to show us His plan
to keep us educated and informed about what He is doing!
Verse 17: “Therefore, IF anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation...
Out of the world; we are not a part of the world. We are a part of the resurrected Christ, on the journey that He began in us, onto the Father!
“...the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (v 17)—in our lives! That is so true even today!.
Verse 18: “And ALL things are from God... [everything in our life should be from God] ...Who has reconciled us to Himself...”
A very personal act that the Father wanted executed so that He could have a relationship with His Family.
“...through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation” (v 18).
We’re preaching that message today. Yes, we will be echoing it in the Kingdom of God. This is what God has called each and every one of us to!
Verse 19: “Which is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and He has entrusted to us this message of reconciliation.”
Reconciliation is the way out of sin. Reconciliation breaks the bonds. It dissolves this hangover that one would have because Satan had them so deceived in their past that they are ashamed. They have nothing that they are not ashamed of.
Verse 20: Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ; and God, as it were...”
As it will be in the Kingdom of God, we will be the voice to the people instructed by Christ to carry His message, spiritual beings helping, healing, and bringing them to God.
“...is exhorting you through us...” (v 20). Christ exhorting you through us even today as the ministry!
“...We beseech you on behalf of Christ...” (v 20). I say to all of you, and to any of you:
where God may be pricking hearts
where God may be getting your attention
now is the time to recognize your calling!
“...We beseech you on behalf of Christ, ‘Be reconciled to God’” (v 20)—because Life is in Him!
The only thing that is in this world, and that’s why we were asked by God to come out of it, especially during the Feast of Tabernacles:
we have put the world aside
we dwell in temporary booths
hotel rooms, which are new homes, temporarily tabernacling at the Feast of Tabernacles.
Verse 21: “For He made Him Who knew no sin to be sin for us...” Our Savior has made:
a pathway forward for us
a pathway to Life
a pathway to the Family of God
“...so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (v 21). This is our hope!
Hebrews 9:28—Paul writing: “So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear the second time without sin unto salvation to those who are eagerly awaiting Him.”
We do; we are eagerly awaiting the change. That work that was done and that prayer that our Elder Brother prayed to our Father Who is in heaven has impact way beyond that era, all the way into our generation today. As I said, many of us came into the faith through a work of God.
That Truth is the same Truth that we will be proclaiming and teaching throughout the 1100 years of God’s Kingdom on the earth. Yes, men will come up. Satan won’t be there to influence them as much for quite some time.
Still there is this conscious of sin, there is this identity of where they have come from, even though they have come up in a resurrection. They will need:
teachers
guides
shepherds
ministers
And the elect, the saints, have a role there!
2-Thessalonians 2:13 helps us to really grasp this: “Now, we are duty-bound to give thanks to God always concerning you, brethren, who are beloved by the Lord... [very much beloved; look at the investment that the Lord has put in us] ...because God from the beginning has called you unto salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the Truth unto which He called you by our Gospel...” (vs 13-14).
Or in our lives at some place in the span of time, whether it be modern times, 20 years ago, 50 years ago Some cases 60 years ago or better.
“...He called you by our Gospel...” [that Gospel is written here] ...to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (v 14).
Verse 15: “So then, brethren, stand firm...”
you’re here celebrating the Feasts
your faith is clear
you’re personifying your faith in the way that you’re keeping the Feasts
loving the brethren
rejoicing
“...and hold fast the ordinances that you were taught, whether by word or by our epistle” (v 15). We have it by both today in great amounts.
Verse 16: Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself... [He is on the job as High Priest] ...and God—even our Father...”
Who dwells in us
Who is at the Feast with us
Who is rejoicing with us
Who is tabernacling with us
Who loved us
“...Who loved us and gave us eternal encouragement and good hope through grace. Encourage your hearts and establish you in every good word and work” (vs 16-17).
Today we have works to do of God. In the Millennial reign of Christ, we will be working with Him doing these good works!
In that day as it will be, brethren, the days that these days picture, God’s Truth will be known! It will be taught by his saints!
we will teach the Word of God
we will teach the Way of God
His words
His Laws
His statutes
His precepts
His judgments
will be taught to the people. His ways will be made known and walked in!
His Spirit will flow from Him and His Kingdom of kings and priests, the Gospel message will be clearly proclaimed! That message pertaining to:
the joy
the hope
the reconciliation
the peace
unfettered
open
accessible
in the name of Jesus Christ will fill the earth!
God’s message of salvation will be clear. We will proclaim, ‘Come to Him,’ in the Millennium and the Last Great Day.
John 7:37: “Now, in the last day, the Great Day of the Feast, Jesus stood and called out...”
This is when Christ was on the earth in the flesh. When the Lord, our God, was on the earth, He gave a foretaste into this.
...saying, ‘IF anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water’” (vs 37-38).
Verse 39: “But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, which those who believed in Him would soon receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified.”
But He is glorified today. He will be glorified in the Kingdom, and so will we, His saints. His servants will be there with Him. God has given us good encouragement in that.
Let’s read Jeremiah’s proclamation, prophetic inspiration, which God gave Him in
Jeremiah 17:7: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD and whose hope is the LORD.” Our hope is in God, brethren!
We’re going to let everyone in the Kingdom know that it is God Who gives Life. It is the spirit realm that gives Life.
Verse 8: “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters; it sends out its roots by the river... [searching for sustenance, spiritual nourishment, healing and power] ...and it shall not fear when the heat comes, but its foliage shall be green... [growing and flourishing] ...and he is not worried in the year of drought, nor will it cease from yielding fruit.”
Very much about the business of growing and overcoming and becoming what God has called us to be! Even then, there will be purpose for man.
Psalm 1––let’s read something here that anchors that, emphasizes that.
Psalm 1:1: “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked... [that thought will not even be allowed to take root] ...nor stand in the way of sinners... [it will not have a place in God’s Kingdom] ...nor sit in the seat of the scornful.”
Those things will be dealt with swiftly and with a proper judgment.
Verse 2: “But his delight... [that one who seeks after God] ...is in the Law of the LORD... [which will be taught] ...and in His Law does He meditate day and night.”
Because God’s Way will be the Way and the only Way that one should live.
Verse 3: “And he shall be like a tree...”—as we read before: flourishing; not withering!
Verse 6: “For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.”
Yes, the way of darkness is fading away even today.
Revelation 22:1: “Then he showed me a pure river of the Water of Life... [this is very much a Millennial setting] ...clear as crystal, flowing out from the Throne of God and of the Lamb. And in the middle of the street, and on this side and that side of the river, was the Tree of Life, producing twelve manner of fruits, each month yielding its fruit...” (vs 1-2).
Month by month by month, the fruit of God is being produced!
“...and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations” (v 2).
Much healing will be needed, and we will be bringing it. Jesus Christ is the Cornerstone of it, even in that day.
Verse 3: “And there shall be no more curse; and the Throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him... [yes, we will] ...and they shall see His face; and His name is in their foreheads” (vs 3-4).
They know the Lord, and they understand what God is doing. His message in that day—indeed, the message today for us and His Gospel Message of Truth from the foundation of the world—is eternal life with God forever as a son or daughter of God! A mystery? Yes, it is today!
But in the Kingdom, in the Millennial reign of Christ, it will not be a mystery. In that day, the Light shall shine!
Mark 4:11—Jesus talking to His disciples: “And He said to them, ‘To you it has been given to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God; but to those who are without... [outside of this fellowship, outside of this kind of covenant relationship as it was] ...all things are done in parables; so that in seeing they may see, and not perceive; and in hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them’” (vs 11-12).
We have a calling from God that is very specific. That calling, as it is today, for the firstfruits; the Word of God is for His elect. He is doing that work in our lives. He is preparing the people to be with Him in the Kingdom to help serve, and to help bring the others in.
Ephesians 3:1: “For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles... [that was Paul’s ministry] ...If indeed you have heard of the ministry of the grace of God that was given to me for you. How He made known to me by revelation the mystery, He made known to me by revelation the mystery (even as I wrote briefly before, so that when you read this, you will be able to comprehend my understanding in the mystery of Christ)” (vs 1-4).
Christ revealed it to Paul. He taught the mystery of God to those whom God was calling!
Verse 5: “Which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His Holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.”
What is that mystery? That the Gentiles might be joint heirs! Of course, those who were given this understanding before the Gentiles were brought in, I mean, Christ brought the message to them! Now it is time to fulfill this component of His promise to Abraham, of His promise from the foundation of the world.
Verse 6: “That the Gentiles might be joint heirs, and a joint body, and joint partakers of His promise in Christ through the Gospel, of which I became a servant according to the gift of the grace of God, which was given to me through the inner working of His power” (vs 6-7).
The Spirit revealed and showed him what great future God has in store for us!
we are the ‘called of God,’ the children of God
your calling is truly remarkable
we are called to be enthroned as kings and to be priests
Matthew 19:16. “Now at that time, one came to Him and said, ‘Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have... [or inherit] ...eternal life?’
Verse 17: And He said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good except one—God. But IF you desire to enter into life, keep the Commandments.’”
This is the Way! God has prescribed that way from the foundation of the world. He determined the specifications for which how men should live.
He is the wisdom of life
He is the Light of Life
Verse 18: “Then he said to Him, ‘Which?’ And Jesus said, ‘You shall not commit murder; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and your mother; and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The young man said to Him, ‘I have kept all these things from my youth. What do I yet lack?’” (vs 18-20).
Verse 21: “Jesus said to him, ‘IF you desire to be perfect, go and sell your property, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come and follow Me.’ But after hearing this word, the young man went away grieving, because he had many possessions. Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘Truly I say to you, it is extremely difficult for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven’” (vs 21-23).
Because you get your priorities all crossed up. Your heart is too tethered to your material things.
Verse 24: “And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
This Way, the treasure that God is holding before us is greater than anything in the universe. We have to understand that. There isn’t a thing in this world more precious or important to us than God’s calling and the offering of eternal life with Him and Jesus Christ and the Family.
Verse 25: “But after hearing this, the disciples were greatly astonished and said, ‘Who then is able to be saved?’ But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible’” (vs 25-26). But:
you have to have your priorities straight
you have to recognize that you need God’s help to guide you in these things
Jesus Christ inspired John to understand this:
Revelation 2:26: “And to the one who overcomes and keeps My works unto the end...” It’s:
overcoming the world
overcoming of self
overcoming of flesh
staying the course
staying on the path
“...I will give authority over the nations” (v 26).
your reward is coming
your calling is coming
your rulership is coming
and giving you a place with Him!
Verse 27: “And he shall shepherd them with an iron rod, as vessels of pottery are broken in pieces; as I have also received from My Father; and I will give him the Morning Star” (vs 27-28). The glory of the Son!
Verse 29: “The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches.”
God has something very special in store for us
God is going to continue to teach and guide us in the way that we need to go
God is going to continue to inspire us in the way that we need to go
Christ told John to come and see. Come with me, brethren, and I will show you here in the Word of God, what God revealed to His servants, the Prophets. Because John was not the only one of God’s servants to see visions revealed by the Lord of things that are ordained to come to pass, things that have been prophesied for us! The world as it will be in God’s Kingdom!
Quite inspiring to have that hope in us. I hope you have a clear vision of what God has in store for you.
Revelation 1:1: “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him, to show to His servants the things that are ordained to come to pass shortly; and He made it known, having sent it by His angel to His servant John who gave witness to the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, and all the things he saw” (vs 1-2).
We know the Prophets also have been used by God in that respect. That message from God to John was clear: The Kingdom of God is at hand!
Today decisions needed to have been made. Today, hopefully, decisions are being made. The message for them as it is for us today will be in the Kingdom of God: repent and be saved for the Lord reigns! The LORD reigns—not soon to come, but in that day it will be today—now on His Throne. Hear the Word of the Lord, we will say.
Psalm 95:1: “O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation.”
It will be known. It will be exemplified in us as the resurrected saints. We will say, ‘Come. Hopefully, they will say:
Verse 2: “Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise to Him with psalms, for the LORD is a great God and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth; the peaks of the mountains are also His.5: The sea is His, and He made it, and His hands formed the dry land” (vs 2-5).
Verse 6: “O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker, for He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, IF you would but hearken to His voice” (vs 6-7).
Yes, we will proclaim the Word of God. We will proclaim it loud. We will say again in:
Verse 8: “Harden not your heart as in the rebellion, as in the day of temptation in the wilderness when your fathers tempted Me, tried Me, even though they saw My work”(vs 8-9).
Yes, the Scripture will still be there with much more added.
Verse 10: “For forty years I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they have not known My ways.’”
But today, as it will be said in the Millennium, today His ways are clear. ‘Let me show you the way. Let me shine the Light of God upon your path and show you the way to the Lord.’
Verse 11: “To whom I swore in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest.’”
There is rest for the people of God! There is rest to be had!
We again will direct them in the right way. Our message to the children living under God’s Millennial rule will be one of reconciliation. We will preach:
be reconciled to your God
be led by the Spirit of God
be saved
for your Savior is King over all the creation!
Come, the Bread of Life, enjoy! The Bread of Life is bountiful. Feast! Rejoice and feast! Be filled with the Bread of God. Be filled with His bread and His wine.
John 6:51––Christ emphasized this as an inspiration: “I AM the living Bread, which came down from heaven; IF anyone eats of this Bread, he shall live forever...”
Again, the bread will be plentiful in the Kingdom.
“...and the bread that I will give is even My flesh...” (v 51). As we learn from the Day of Atonement, the atoning power of His blood stretches through the Millennium into the Great White Throne Judgment
“...Which I will give for the life of the world” (v 51).
He has done that, brethren! He has done it! Christ knew what He was here to do!
While He was here His Light has come. We will say to the people, come see the great love that He has for you. The water of Life is freely flowing from His Throne! It is available and we can enjoy it.
Let’s read Isa. 55 because this is the inspired Word revealed to the Prophet Isaiah. Visions of the Millennial setting.
Isaiah 55:1: “‘Ho, everyone who thirsts...
IF you seek God, IF you thirst and hunger for God and His righteousness, He says:
“...come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat.... [rejoice and feast upon what Christ is giving and producing for you] ...Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread? And your labor for what never satisfies?....” (vs 1-2).
Don’t be spinning your wheels for nothing or lies as it is in this world today.
“...Hearken diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness” (v 2)—which is what the Feast is all about! We are enjoying that time together feasting, again, a foretaste of the Kingdom of God.
Verse 3: “Bow down your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live...”
Will you hear the Word of God? We will proclaim:
“...and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David” (v 3).
God is pleading
God is exhorting
God is encouraging
Verse 4: “Behold, I have given Him for a witness to the people, a Prince and Commander of people.
He sits on His Throne today
Verse 5: “Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know; a nation that did not know you shall run to you because of the LORD your God... [yes, they will come] ...For the Holy One of Israel...”
Yes, they will come to the Lord from afar and all over the world, for He has glorified you!. They will come to God.
Verse 6: “Seek the LORD...”
seek salvation
seek reconciliation
seek the Lord
seek everything that He represents, all the names that are Him
Verse 6: “Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.”
Yes, we have an instruction from God for life. These days that we’re celebrating here at the Feast of Tabernacles are such a blessing for us to have an opportunity to experience that.
IF you are enjoying and rejoicing in the feast, please continue on and talk of these things We will say to them in that day, ‘Seek the Lord today, be reconciled today!’ Yes, we shall all teach His words. Let’s practice that here and now! Direct the paths of the people into the way of true life is what we will do.
Let us teach and let us rejoice. For the final three sections of verses that I want to share with you here on the Day 2 of the Feast of Tabernacles, let’s go to the Prophet Joel. He has very encouraging words for us.
Joel 2:1: “‘Blow the ram’s horn in Zion, and sound an alarm in My Holy mountain!’ Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the Day of the LORD comes, for it is near at hand—”
In order for mankind to recognize Jesus Christ for who He is and the power that He possesses and the glory that He brings. To reject the darkness of this world and the evil of men. Yes, that day was the day that led up to the Feast of Pentecost and the Feast of Trumpets; judgment upon the wicked, upon this earth.
Mankind needs to understand the between the difference between spirit and flesh, God and Satan. Satan is that weak, miserable being who caused so much havoc has been arrested and locked up. The days of joy are taking root is the message here.
Verse 12: “‘Therefore, even now,’ says the LORD, ‘turn to Me with all your heart...’”
That’s our message for them. The world will be in upheaval, much destruction, death, and we’re rebuilding! Day two of the Feast—early stages—of that time.
“...‘turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. Yes, rend your heart and not your garments, and return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He repents of the evil’” (vs 12-13). God has given us that inspiration!
Verse 14: “Who knows if He will return and repent and leave a blessing behind Him—a grain offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? Blow a ram’s horn in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly” (vs 14-15).
I think the people of the Millennium will start to understand. The world will not be a distraction.
Verse 15: “Blow a ram’s horn in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly.
Verse 16: “Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and those who suck the breasts. Let the bridegroom go forth out of his chamber, and the bride out of her room” (vs 15-16). Yes, Christ will be there!
Verse 17: “Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, ‘Spare Your people, O LORD, and give not Your inheritance to shame, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the people, “Where is their God?”’”
There is duality here. The nations all would have been subdued, but there will be attitudes of rebellion still to deal with. There was human nature still to deal with! That is what we will be working with Christ to overcome.
Verse 18: “Then the LORD will be jealous for His land and pity His people. Yea, the LORD will answer and say to His people, ‘Behold, I will send you grain, and wine, and oil, and you shall be satisfied with them. And I will no more make you a curse among the nations. But I will remove the northern army...’” (vs 18-20).
Verse 23: “Be glad then, children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God, for He has given you the former rain in just measure, and He will cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain as before. And the threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil” (vs 23-24). Blessings! Blessing of bursting out!
Verse 25: “And I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the locust larvae, and the destroying locust, and the cutting locust, My great army which I sent among you.”
God is healing
God is renewing
God is bringing back the plenty that is needed
God will continue to bless throughout that time
You can read the rest there during your time at the Feast. But this is a wonderful blessing.
Psalm 132:7: “Let us go unto His tabernacle; let us worship at His footstool.... [this is before the Lord] ...Arise, O LORD, into Your rest; You and the ark of Your strength. Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your saints shout for joy. For Your servant David’s sake, turn not away the face of Your anointed” (vs 7-10).
God is going to really bring that peace and fulfill His promises as He promised.
Verse 10: “The LORD has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it: ‘Of the fruit of your body will I set upon the throne for you. IF your children keep My covenant and My testimonies which I shall teach them, their sons shall also sit upon your throne forever.’ The LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation: ‘This is My resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it. I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.... [I just read it to you a moment ago] ...I also will clothe her priests with salvation...” (vs 10-16).
Yes, the work of the kings and priests and God’s Kingdom is a righteous work. We will fulfill these words with Christ.
“...and her saints shall shout aloud for joy” (v 16).
Will we rejoice in the Kingdom of God? Yes, we will! Not just for ourselves, but for:
the healing of the world
the healing of mankind!
Salvation unto all whom God has created and who are left alive in those days!
For ten generations, a thousand years of joy and trying to help and grow all the good that God desires.
Verse 17: “There I will make the horn of David to bud; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed. I will clothe his enemies with shame; upon himself shall his crown shine” (vs 17-18). God has a plan for us!
Words that echo in my mind for so many years in the Church. These words have always been very encouraging to me during this time of year.
Isaiah 2:1: “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass, in the last days the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow into it” (vs 1-2).
The Kingdom of God ruled by Christ, administered by His servants, the saints, and we will be there!
Verse 3: And many people shall go and say, ‘Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD...’”
God’s house
God’s nation
God’s Kingdom
God’s seat of rulership
“...to the house of the God of Jacob. And He will teach us of His ways...” (v 3).
The darkness is fading. It will be put away. The Way of God will be the norm and we will walk in His paths! Yes, we will help direct those paths. We will shine the light of God upon those paths and those ways:
“...For out of Zion shall go forth the Law, and the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem” (v 3).
we will teach
we will administer all in the righteousness of God
Verse 4: “And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.
Verse 5: “O house of Jacob, Nations shall not lift a sword against nation. Neither shall they learn war anymore. Oh, house of Jacob... [Indeed, all men upon the face of the earth] ...come and let us walk in the light of the LORD”
God has called us to an incredible calling, an incredible work. Yes, the Feast of Tabernacles is just a foretaste of it. Please continue to rejoice in your Feast and enjoy the fellowship of God’s Family!
